Description

Bat Wing Popcorn is a whimsical and delicious treat, perfect for Halloween gatherings or cozy movie nights. This unique snack combines crunchy popcorn with a playful twist of chocolate flavor and a spooky appearance, making it an instant hit with family and friends. Easy to prepare, this fun recipe will add excitement to any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon black food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather your supplies: a large pot with a lid, measuring cups, and mixing bowls.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in the pot over medium heat. Test the heat by adding 3-4 kernels; once they pop, add the remaining kernels in an even layer. Cover slightly ajar.
  3. Shake the pot occasionally as the corn pops until popping slows down significantly.
  4. In a separate bowl, melt the butter and whisk in seasoned salt and cocoa powder until combined.
  5. Once popped, remove from heat and immediately pour the butter mixture over the popcorn. Toss gently with black food coloring until evenly coated.
