  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken pieces dry and coat them with flour in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, mix soy sauce, orange juice, ginger, and garlic. Add the flour-coated chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry marinated chicken in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  4. In a saucepan, simmer leftover marinade until thickened. Stir in dissolved cornstarch for a glossy finish.
  5. Toss fried chicken in the sauce until evenly coated and serve garnished with green onions and sesame oil.
