Description

Indulge in crispy shrimp balls paired with sweet chili sauce—an irresistible appetizer perfect for any gathering or cozy night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce (for dipping)
  • Fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the shrimp until it resembles a coarse paste.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chopped shrimp, panko breadcrumbs, minced garlic, green onions, and eggs until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (180°C). Test with a breadcrumb; it should sizzle upon contact.
  5. Fry shrimp balls in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
