Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp mint extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and mint extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until set but soft in the center.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
