- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients by chopping garlic and parsley.
- Cook the linguine in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt half of the butter. Add seasoned chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes each.
- Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Lower the heat and add heavy cream and remaining butter. Stir until melted; add lemon juice.
- Toss drained linguine into the skillet with the sauce, mixing well and adding reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
