Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
  • 2 cups sturdy tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend
  • 1 can (15 oz) refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and prepare according to package instructions.
  3. Spread refried beans in the baking dish. Layer half of the seasoned beef on top.
  4. Scatter tortilla chips over the beef layer, followed by half of the cheese and half of the salsa. Repeat the layers with remaining ingredients.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly, then garnish with sour cream before serving.
