  • 8 slices thick-cut brioche or challah bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup mixed fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the bread into one-inch cubes.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream cheese, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and maple syrup until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the bread cubes into the custard mixture until fully coated.
  5. Carefully add the fresh berries and gently fold to prevent crushing.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight.
