  • 1/3 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, salt, and half of the flour; mix until combined.
  3. Gradually incorporate the remaining flour until a cohesive dough forms; knead on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with cloth, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle; spread with softened butter and sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Roll up tightly from one long edge into a log shape; place in greased loaf pan.
  8. Cover and let rise again until doubled (about another hour). Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown; cool slightly before slicing.
