Mint chocolate chip ice cream is a delightful homemade treat, combining creamy mint-infused goodness with rich chocolate chips. Perfect for cooling off on warm days!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and fresh mint leaves over medium heat until warm but not boiling. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and let steep for 30 minutes to infuse the mint flavor.
  3. Strain out mint leaves. Mix in vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  4. Chill the mixture in an airtight container for at least 2 hours.
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn until soft-serve consistency.
  6. In the last few minutes of churning, add chocolate chips.
  7. Serve immediately or freeze for about 4 hours for firmer ice cream.
