  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well blended.
  3. In another bowl, mix buttermilk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fill each liner two-thirds full with batter and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cool on a wire rack before frosting with a mixture of cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cocoa.
