 - 1 cup unsalted butter
 - 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
 - ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
 - 2 cups granulated sugar
 - 1½ teaspoons baking soda

 - 2 large eggs
 - ¾ cup sour cream
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
 - In a saucepan, melt butter with Guinness over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer.
 - In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
 - Combine the warm butter-beer mixture with dry ingredients; mix in eggs and sour cream until smooth.
 - Divide batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
