Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 cup biscuit mix
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for about 3 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together milk, sour cream, melted butter, cheddar cheese, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the blanched green beans and half of the biscuit mix until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with the remaining biscuit mix and additional cheese if desired.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
