  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil (preferably toasted)
  • Rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in a bowl with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch for 30 minutes.
  2. Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and cool in ice water.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the marinated beef until browned (about 4-5 minutes), then remove from pan.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Return beef along with any marinade to the pan.
  5. Add blanched broccoli and stir until everything is well-coated and heated through (about 2-3 minutes).
  6. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
