Instructions

  1. Warm milk to lukewarm and mix with yeast; let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, and salt together.
  3. Create a well in the dry mix; add frothy yeast mixture, beaten egg, and melted butter. Stir to combine into a sticky dough.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for about an hour until doubled in size.
  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon for filling; roll out dough to a rectangle, spread melted butter, and sprinkle filling.
  7. Roll tightly into a log; place seam-side down in a greased loaf pan. Let rise for another hour.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
