Ingredients

  • 4 submarine sandwich rolls
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 cup mixed bell peppers (red, green, yellow), chopped
  • 1 medium sweet onion, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp garlic butter (4 tbsp melted butter mixed with 2 cloves minced garlic)
  • 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice the steak against the grain and chop the bell peppers and onions.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent. Add bell peppers and cook until softened.
  3. Push the veggies aside and add the steak. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned (about 3-4 minutes).
  4. Mix melted butter with minced garlic to create garlic butter.
  5. Slice rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Brush both sides with garlic butter.
  6. Pile on the steak mixture and top with provolone cheese.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
