- 4 submarine sandwich rolls
- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
- 1 cup mixed bell peppers (red, green, yellow), chopped
- 1 medium sweet onion, finely chopped
- 4 tbsp garlic butter (4 tbsp melted butter mixed with 2 cloves minced garlic)
- 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Thinly slice the steak against the grain and chop the bell peppers and onions.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent. Add bell peppers and cook until softened.
- Push the veggies aside and add the steak. Season with salt and pepper, cooking until browned (about 3-4 minutes).
- Mix melted butter with minced garlic to create garlic butter.
- Slice rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through. Brush both sides with garlic butter.
- Pile on the steak mixture and top with provolone cheese.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
