  • Red food coloring (a few drops)
  • Green food coloring (a few drops)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and peppermint extract.
  3. Divide the dough in half; color one half with red food coloring and the other with green.
  4. Take small pieces from each colored dough, press them together to form logs, and roll gently to create swirls.
  5. Place logs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Allow cooling before transferring to wire racks.
