  • 4 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 2 tbsp cold water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour and sugar. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Gradually add cold water until dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Toss pear slices with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a sprinkle of sugar in another bowl.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ¼ inch thick; transfer it to your tart pan.
  6. Pour the pear mixture into the prepared crust evenly.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until edges are golden brown and filling is bubbly.
