- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 9 lasagna noodles (regular or no-boil)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook seasoned chicken breasts until golden brown (about 6-7 minutes per side). Shred once cooled.
- Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant, then add marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, shredded chicken, half of the mozzarella cheese, chopped basil, salt, and pepper.
- Layer a baking dish with marinara sauce, followed by noodles, cheesy mixture, marinara sauce, and remaining mozzarella; repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
