Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Thaw and unfold the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface; cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  3. Place half of the hearts on the baking sheet, top each with sliced strawberries, and sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Cover with the remaining heart cutouts and seal edges using a fork for decoration.
  5. Mix the egg and water for an egg wash; brush over each pastry heart.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
