- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 24 chocolate kisses
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
- Remove from oven and press a chocolate kiss into each cookie center while warm. Allow to cool on wire racks.
