Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar until frothy, then mix in oil and buttermilk.
  4. Add red food coloring and mix well. Gently fold in the dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Pour batter onto prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Invert the cake onto a powdered sugar-dusted kitchen towel; peel off parchment while warm.
